2013 World Wide Roma and Traveler Gathering
In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, U.S.A. on April 5-10 2013 the first ever World Wide Roma and Traveler gathering held in the United States will take place. We are extending the invitation to all Roma and Traveler people, from all corners of the world. We also are inviting non-Roma. We encourage attending non-Roma to see and experience real Roma people. Please come and learn about who we are. We are extending this invitation to non-Romany people to help eliminate negative stereotypes that surround who we are as a people.

This 5 day event will include everything
you can imagine Romany. We will have
live music, food, Romany arts and crafts
for sale, guest speakers, jam sessions (so bring your instruments), talent shows
and so much more. These 5 days will be
filled with fun and activities.
For those who like to camp, camping sites are available. Most of the fun and activities are being held at Myrtle Beach State Park which has camping sites as well as cabins that can be rented. If you are coming from far away and camping is not an option, there are many hotels and motels, with a full range of prices, that are in the vacinity of the park.

We have planned this event to be all most 2 years from now so that all those who would like to attend will have time to make adequate plans. We want to show the world a united front amongst our people. We also want to connect families and create ties between the Roma people. We Roma, are really all one big family. We seek to regenerate our people and our Roma communities.

The term Roma includes people/communties who are known to use the following terms in designating who they are: Sinta/Sinti, Romanichal, Pavee, Gypsy, Faw, Tsigani, Doum, Gitan, Romanisael, Kalo/Kale, as well as others terms not listed here. We also welcome and support the rights of other ethnic "Gypsy" groups such as the Domari and the Lom. This site is moderated by the Committee for the 2013 World Wide Romani and Travelers Gathering.
